The rain finally arrived around 4 pm. On the whole though not a bad day, we had a good day out in the garden and were just packing up as the rain started. We are being issued with a weather warning for 12 hours overnight (8pm-8am) for thunderstorms.

Another mercilessly hot day, with blinding sunlight... Car was still parked under the cool shade of a tree and windows open, (and the cooling fans running) - But just look at the temperature reading.

    1714643245071_copy_1758x1008.jpg

Yes, 42.5°C, that's 109°F - And this just the beginning of summer, not the peak. So a lot more "fun times" up ahead for me.

So I'm right now (after I completed my task) seeking refuge inside a mall...

Even though home isn't far away, but I think I I'm now going to stay in here and waste time until long after sunset... Just can't tolerate climate change anymore.

Let's see what's available at the food court.

Yes I know, cheese fries and a cola is not exactly what can be considered as healthy. But I've come from a long and very exhaustive drive outside - Even though the car's AC was on at full for most of the drive, I still had to stop and wait at a few places...

THIS IS WHY I NOWADAYS AVOID GOING OUTSIDE DURING DAYTIME HOURS...
    :frustrated:
While nobody from elsewhere in on Earth seems to understand exactly what impact climate change seems to be happening in my part of the world.

But not to worry, as it'll soon catch up everywhere in the not so distant future... Meanwhile I'm going to go watch a movie here until it's dark outside.

Hopefully monsoon season will start here in a week to 10 days. Which will bring some relief from this heat.

Right now there is extreme flooding in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. And in parts of Oman too - And as I mentioned already, whatever happened at the coast of Salalah city of Oman, also starts to happen here in Karachi a few days later. Such is how the weather system works here at this time of the year.

Too true we are all experiencing climate change in all parts of the world unfortunately @S-H , you're not alone in feeling and seeing it's detrimental effects.....we may all be experiencing it differently but nevertheless experiencing it we all are vegetation, animals , climate ,humans etc.

    https://myanimals.com/present-en/the-12-animals-most-affected-by-climate-change/

At least we can usually find a way to relieve our discomfort...as you are by staying in the coolness of the shopping mall. Seems very quiet in the mall , what time of day is it?

We must count are blessings and spare a thought for our wildlife that can't find many other options open to them. Spare a thought for their suffering..

It was a little after midday at the mall, so things were starting up.

I returned home, as I wanted to water my plants, (or else they would suffer very badly in this heatwave).

I also ALWAYS make it a point to leave a bowl of clean water on the rooftop of my house. So all birds can have a drink whenever they like. Same at the ground level too, for any stray cat.

It's almost sunset time now. So it's cooled a bit outside. Therefore I can go on my evening jogging - I think I'll go back to where the mall is, but on foot. As that would equal to around 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) of jogging along the beach.

The other day i heard that the Australian wildfires are affecting the ozone layer, usually it closes up again but it's getting worse. It can affect animals losing their sight.

A wildfire can pump smoke up into the stratosphere, where the particles drift for over a year. A new MIT study has found that while suspended there, these particles can trigger chemical reactions that erode the protective ozone layer shielding the Earth from the sun's damaging ultraviolet radiation.
