My favorite herb? That depends on what I'm cooking or eating, but I would say basil (Italian food) chives(baked potatoes) and cilantro (salsa).

I think all of them are our edible herbs and we grow them all. Do we have some resource or book or anything else where can translate herb names?

I use garlic in almost on every cooking. And my recent favorite is basil. I'm even planning to grow one. Any tips?

It's really hard to choose. I use garlic for cooking almost everyday. I grow oregano here.

Garlic!! Yeah baby We grow it, roast it, enjoy it and since we both love it we don't have to worry about having "garlic breath" I want to try to grow basil next year to go with my maters

Am I the only one that uses just good ol' salt and pepper? I'm not too brave around the kitchen when it comes to herbs & spices.

There are too many as some have posted but:
Garlic, Rosemary, Thyme, Chives, Oregano, Basil are probably the biggest ones for us. I grow all my own and have managed to keep a Rosemary plant alive for two years now by bringing it inside for the winter...Ok I just jinxed myself!

My all-time favorite herb is garlic. It's list of properties includes antibiotic, cholesterol lowering and blood pressure lowering. I use about one head of it a day .
