Well monday they start onit. We have been taking everything out of the old cabinets and pretty much the whole kitchen. Here are some pics of the old one. Keep in mind these cabinets are 28 years old and have already been refinished once.

We will also be getting a new ceramic tile floor, That is what they will be working on Monday.

Your cabinets look better than the ones I have! LOL
OK, so I guess these are the "Before" pictures. I can't wait to see the "after" shots! How exciting!

What you can't see are the dings and scratches in the cabinets. Plus the lower ones are so hard to get stuff in and out of. You practically have to get down on the floor. Plus I can't hardly get back up.

It's a lot of hard work clearing out an old kitchen but it's definately all going to be worth it in the end. Did you find any tiles that you liked to compliment the ones you already have? I do hope so. Looking forward to the next set of piccies showing the new floor. Very Happy

Looking forward to the transformation. Is that a spiral staircase going 'somewhere'?

It is a steel spiral staircase going tothe basement where our son lives. We bought all new tile and I made sure we got more than enough. The tile are 18 in X18 in. One whole box was broken when they unloaded it, but we can use some of it for piecing in where they would have to be cut. The original tile that we had we will use on the enclosed back porch. I will do that this summer.

Well they have started. They have been ripping old paneling down and are laying the sub floor for the tile.

They got almost 1/2 the kitchen done, now it has to set for 24 hours before they can grout it. They should have the floor done and the cabinets set by Friday. The color of the tile is called Nevada Sand.

Thanks CK. Very Happy I love the floor tiles and can't wait to see them when they are all laid and grouted. I know I'm a bit strange but I do love to see work in progress. One day it may be my kitchen that will have a total makeover - hopefully!!

We have been saving up to do this for about 6 years. But we wanted to get the bathroom done first. And we had that doe almost 3 years ago.

Nice tile! Very Happy I have to say your old kitchen didn't look too bad, and now I'm also very excited about your new one. Good luck with the work in progress.
