|
Shes growing! And today I noticed she is changing colors! Is this her grown up color? Is she suppose to change colors? She only has one flower on her. I pinch them off as soon as I see them. She was so tiny when I got her, the flowers were weighting her down....
Remember?
Pic of her when I first got her...
Now...Should I let the flowers bloom now? You think she big enough to handle the weight of them?

I would - but I've never had my own wisteria to care for. My mom just makes sure hers is well supported and lets it bloom, bloom away. She looks very healthy!
Lovely - my neighbor has an amazing one that is a good part of the way up his tree, it looks like a purple waterfall. I'll have to see if I can get a picture while its still blooming here.
--- edited to add, I walked down the driveway to get a picture, and the sun was still mostly on it, though it's part in shadow - I am amazed at this thing every morning when I'm going out, it's right at the end of my drive -- just think, someday yours may be like this!

Ha! Doesn't it? It's taking over the tree, and that's a good-sized tree too. Below it there's a mound of white clematis completely enshrouding what I think is a lamp-post. I love this guy's yard.

Pianolady I read somewhere (can't remember where now) that it takes wisteria 7 years to flower but never having been able to grow onemyself (yet) I don't know how true a statement this is.

Denee my sisters wisteria changes color on the ends too, I think because it's new growth maybe. Primsong that is a gorgeous picture!!There are alot of old homesteads here in the country and they are completely taken over by the wisteria! It is very beautiful and smells wonderful!! To see in person is even more beautiful than the picture!

No I mean before you blow out your candles make a wish that your wisteria will look as good as the one in Primsong's photo but make sure you blow out all the candles first time or it won't come true

Ok what's happened to your photograph Bugs? "My image for this link is no longer here" is all I'm getting and I really wanted to see your wisteria.
