Wow PianoLady! I am once again in awe of the quality of your photos. I really like the lilac and white 'striped' variety of Iris. Any details on these?

On the streaked one, I'm not sure what it is, but it's likely to be "Batik". I need to sit down and figure out all these iris, and get a good "guestimate" on them too. Most are inherited, so I didn't have anything more than a color on them when they were planted here.

Pianolady if you would like the names of all your iris then I have a friend who could probably identify them for you from your piccies. She runs her own iris business. Can I show her your photographs please?

Beautiful closeups - my irises are opening like crazy right now too, all kinds of colors, but I keep getting blurry shots of them. You have a real knack!

They are gorgeous!

That would be wonderful! I started an iris page to help me keep track of what I've got. Started a rose page too. I have managed to figure out a few of my unknowns, but some I'm still not sure (and may never know). I'll be adding to both pages as things bloom.

I love the rich red ones. All are gorgeous! I realise I have none in my garden. A shopping spree maybe on the cards!
