Good Evening Stewies, I don't know about all of you but I have all my seeds bagged up or containerd up , So now I don't have anythig fun to do I loved my seeds and going out every morning now what do we do all winter besides house work, yuck!! And take pics. of the birds ,I like that to but not as much as playing with my seeds. Am I the only one that feels this way or is it just me?
Have a good night Margie

No, it's not just you Margie!
I am always sad to see the end of the gardening season. I spend a lot of time in the winter planning and dreaming of spring. I must admit, though, that my house is really clean in the winter

Hi margie
Winter time: How's that back room coming for your plants? This would be a fun playtime garden-an inside garden. Then maybe we could organize some sort of seed swap thing so we can be ready for when spring comes. I'm already trying to come up with plants that I would like next year/maybe reorganizing my herb garden, etc......

margie, I feel for you as I have the same problem. Two weeks ago, I potted up my hyacinths. They had their cold time and were ready for forcing. Hope I have flowers for Christmas. This week I potted my amaryllis bulbs so they would start to grow. I seem to have a need to have things growing near me. Can't say my house is cleaner in the winter, when I'm using my kitchen to pot bulbs.

I think we're all feeling the same way as you are Margie.
I've just recently potted up my amaryllis too and they already have two inch shoots.
I always plant up mustard, cress and mung bean seeds over winter, not just because I use them in cooking, but so that I've got something green to look after during these short, dark days.

I know where you are coming from Like Jungseed, I need something growing around me. That is why I love the amaryllis and paper whites I noticed that my old amaryllis has a little bud popping up and my Thanksgiving cactus is starting to do her thing too Yeah! Look at it this way, winter gives us a chance to grow different plants

Here downunder there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done, even though the daylight hours are much longer. Sadly the house stays a mess all year long!
That's because it's much more fun in the garden

I'm with you Margie. This year I have a small pop-up greenhouse and will be experimenting with maintaning potted plants and starting seeds in it. All did well during the summer, though I need to keep a close eye on the temps. There are always windowsills or tabletop light gardens!

Well I don't have to miss playing with my flower seeds anymore, Because I'm in seeds and seedlings coming up every where, And I'm having a ball, I didn't know I missed it so much until I started planting and buying ,It's like I'm addicted, I guess I am. I have little seedlings everywhere. I have started 3 new gardens outside this spring, I can't wait for it to get a little warmer, We had a lot of rain this week so I couldn't get out. but last week we plowed our veggie garden and my other 3 gardens to. It's going to be so much fun , I cant wait how about you all?Back in the dirt again.OH YEAH!! Getting Down And Dirty, Bring out the gloves and bring on the dirt
Every body have fun
