Debbie in Australia hasn't seen snow but once, some of us in Texas don't get to see very much either and I think you all know how much I love snow.
So if you have photos of snow in your area would you post them here or it you have already posted some in the Member's Gallery would you post the link to them here. Having them in one post would give me...uh, I mean Debbie a better chance of seeing and enjoying them to our.. uh, I mean her hearts content.
Here's one from my front yard in Feb 2004 when we had almost 4 inches of snow, doesn't happen often but once in a while I get to have fun in the snow..

Droopy -- how did you make the snow lanterns? Not that I ever have that much snow....

You just make snow balls, put the first one in a circle as big as you want the lantern, and then build upwards and inwards, much like making an igloo. I use normal candles or tea lights inside.

Hahaha... Debbie-- some call it "dedication"...others call it "bonkers"!
I try not to let the seasons deter me from doing things in the lotties...the weather, yes, but not the seasons. Ach, a little snow wasn't too bad. You can't see it, but that compost was steaming.

Not to get away from the fun snow topic, but this question is for Sjoerd -- did you just pile the compost on top of the snow until the soil thawed?
Meanwhile here are two snow pics. I'll bet Calomaar has some gorgeous snow pics....
