About 90% of the photos I have taken with my 10x digital camera can be uploaded to Stew but not all. None of the pictures, and that is about 90% of my garden pictures, that I have taken with my SLR 35mm are rejected for being more than 2MB.

When I use Photobucket the pictures are too small to be used on Stew. What am I doing wrong with Photobucket and how can I use my 35mm pics?

I resize mine on the computer before uploading them. Isn't there an option in your photo program for editing, like cutting and resizing?

Hi AG,

Have you read the following topic?
http://www.gardenstew.com/about4114.html

I recommend reading steps 2 and 3.

Hi AG,

Another option you can try is adjusting your camera to take smaller size pics. From what I understand almost all digital cameras can do that. It is also sometimes refer to as resolution. By using a lower resolution or lower pixel count. I always do this if I want to upload the pics onto the internet because it is much faster. Smile

I use Picasa for my photo editing, when I want to resize them, I just use the export option & resize to 480 pixels. You can download Picasa for free and I really like the editing tools. I was using windows photo gallery but it is limited. Here is the URL if you want to check it out.

I HAVE NO IDEA how anyone can get a photo in just 7 kb.

I TRIED.... i got the right size 128x128 but... when i shrunk it to 7 kb... all i had was color spots all over the pic... and i was gone.

i wanted to put an avatar with ME, of course. BUT!

there is no way i can get a pic to that small size and still recognize myself in it.

Shocked

I resize my foto's with a program called ACDSee Pro. I do that on my computer before uploading the foto to PhotoBucket.
After that there is no problem.

Hood luck, A.G. Looking foreward to seeing your fotos on here.
