Questions about growing Rosemary

I had no idea how luck we are to grow here. Rosemary grows like a weed here, but there are so many varieties here that it can grow as prostrate, or many types of bush. We also get both blue and pink flowering varieties now.
Mine is the variety with long woody stems, with a suggested use as skewers for meat on the BBQ. I also have another variety which is much wussier (technical term...) and would never survive that treatment.
