Joe got home first yesterday evening and unlocked and opened the door and was hit in the face with black smoke. The house was on fire and he shut the door and called 911.It was caused from an extention
cord that has the roller on and off switch on the cord in their bedroom.
Maggie was asleep on their bed and inhaled to much smoke. She has a 50/50 chance of living. The other two cats and Sammie the dog was down stairs so they are ok.She was under high Oxygen last night.Joe's insurance company put them in a motel room last night and a clean up crew will be there today in the house.Trey and Logan were at Sue and Guff's house.Thank God its not worse than it is but my heart goes out to Maggie and Heather and her boys and Maggie has been with Heather since she was just a little kitten. There has been so much happen to her family in such a short time.

Oh my gosh Glenda!!! I just can't believe the bad luck they have been having! So sad, I hope Maggie is OK. Thank heavens that no one else was hurt.

Glenda I hope Maggie pulls through!! Heather must be so worried about her. Thank goodness none of the family or other pets were upstairs too though. The clean up crew will do a good job I'm sure and allow everyone to get back to the house soon. Let's hope that this is the end of the problems that Joe, Heather and the boys have to face.

Do keep us up to date on how Maggie is doing please.

Great Scott! What a run of bad luck those poor folks had.
Here's wishing them strength and support.
All my best.

Thank God no one else besides Maggie was hurt but how sad for Maggie... I hope she pulls through. I really do.

Here is hoping too that the clean-up goes smoothly. Was there much damage?

I will be thinking a lot about Maggie.. let us know... and let's hope for the best. Hang on Maggie!

The clean up crew said it would take a month to get the job done.Sue and Guff told them to go back to Heather's house until they are finished cleaning.
It will be 24 hrs before they know if Maggie will be ok but she was stable today.Thank you all for your prayers concerns and good thoughts.

Maggie being stable sounds promising Glenda. Thank goodness they have Heathers house to stay in for the next month while the cleanup is getting done. Now I pray that is the last thing that is going to happen to Heather, Joe, the boys and all their fur-pets.

Up date on Maggie.Heather called and said the vet called them to come in and say goodbye to her and sign papers to put her to sleep as her lung collapsed this morning and she only had 10 percent left in the other lung and she was suffering and Heather didn't want that at all.Poor Maggie girl.

I'm so sorry. I'm sure it was very hard to do even if best for poor Maggie's sake... So sorry, Glenda. Sweet little girl.
