My sage is still very small and only has it's first set of true leaves. Today while transplanting them I noticed that the leaves have curled under, away from the light. Why is this and should I do anything to correct it?

The best information I could find is this:
Too much water can cause it
Too dry can cause it
Too little sun can cause it

If your soil is not well drained then let it dry out some before watering it again. If it is well drained then check the texture of the leaves. If they are hard and feel like they are drying out then water then and wait a coule days for them to come back. If they are really soft to the otuch let them dry out more. If the leaves are losing some color or turning yellow they need more light.

All of this is from information I found online and not my experience. I hope it helps.

Hmm I wonder if it's disease like root rot. You would be able to tell while transplanting, many of the roots would be brown and mushy, and not white.

Have the plants improved?
