Fear of what other people will say is the biggest block. Fear of color and lack of self confidence in what you think looks good for you are a couple of others.

Yeah not many things can stand in the way of a bedroom. A kitchen or bathroom remodel would be more extensive since there are a variety of tiles, storage, and granite to choose from. With a bedroom all you have to worry about is paint and the floor. Or if it is a really old home with tiny rooms you can tear down a wall for better flow.

These are great replies. Thank you. I think that most folks leave it to last because "no one sees it", but a cool bedroom is so great to walk into and to be in. Don't you think?

I agree. The bedroom is definitely a great place to showcase one's style. In fact I think it's the most important part of the house decor-wise, because this is the first and last enviornment you are in every day. Hence it's important that you establish a decor that you can makes you feel comfortable.

Hey, there. Welcome and thanks for posting. I couldn't agree with you more. I think we give the bedroom such little importance when we're 'decorating' at yet it is the place where we can come up with our most brilliant solutions!
