It was wonderful to have my son and his fiance (Keagan and Amy) have their engagement party in our garden. The yard held its flowers and the white roses that were artfully arranged in vases everywhere (by the brides mother) with the candle light and white lights sparkled. There were probably 50 or more people, a very nice turn out and the weather was perfect. Here are a some photos from the yard and the party. It was well worth a summer of weeding, watering and fussing in the yard and garden.

What a beautiful setting for the engagement party Jewell. Everything looks magical in the darkness with all the lights on. Your flowers certainly look as though they put on a wonderful show for all the guests. So pleased the weather stayed fine for you all too. Very Happy

I agree with everyone...what a beautiful setting ...I am glad the weather held out for you...even though raining on your wedding day is good luck I have heard....it did rain on my wedding day and it will be 43 years in April...

Thank you for sharing...everything looked so great and a wonderful looking couple.

It was a great time. Exhausting but wonderful. Wedding is in Mauii so this was their "at home" get-to-gether. They both worked very hard on food (Keagan) and decorations (Amy and her mom). I now understand fully the cost of rental places and planners. Thanks all for the kind comments. Very Happy

Sherri, the wedding is next year in Mauii (This was the engagement party since most family and friends won't be able to attend the wedding). Keagan and Amy are in Mauii this week finding accomadations for family and friends and making arrangements for wedding.

Guess April through September is a reasonable priced season for traveling to Mauii so they will pick a date sometime during that time period. My husband and I have never been so it will be exciting on many levels for us.

Jewell everything looks beautiful and magical with all the white lights, candles and flowers. You all did a wonderful job coordinating everything. I can appreciate all the effort and time that went into the planning. I just hosted a couples shower for 25 for my daughter and her fiance and was exhausted when it was over but it was well worth all the effort. I wish I could have done it in the garden but it was in the 90's and humid. Rolling Eyes Their wedding is less than 4 weeks away. Very Happy

Gail - hope you are taking your energy pills with a wedding coming up. I often witnessed emotional break downs at friends and family weddings. Having finally experienced the preparations for such an event I can totally emphasized. (My husband and I only had a very small wedding with immediate family and friends at our home.)
