Hi all,
Just added a new, small little feature this evening called Seeds. Look to the bottom-left of this post and you will see a 'Give Seed' link. Go ahead and click it, it wont bite You have just shown that you like this forum post by giving it a Seed.
Many times you want to show your appreciation for a forum post, be it informative or witty, but just don't have the right words at that moment to write a thank you post. So this is a simple way to show the poster and others that you 'like' it.
Of course there is no limit to how many Seeds you can give.
Hope you enjoy this small feature, and let me know if you experience any bugs.

Ummmmm, none of my post have the Give a Seed on them. You gave me a seed for a post, I got the notification.
Also, have you removed the Plant Page entry totals for each member too?
Edited to add.....I get it, you don't see the Give a Seed on your own post..DUH!

Urrp! Where did they go to? Fear not, I'll track them down
// updated: I found them Toni. They were lurking in a bush outside.

Ah, here's the thread explaining about the seeds. I've sown some already while scrolling down to find a note about it. I'm used to being able to appreciate single posts from other forums, and like this new feature a lot. Thanks very much.

great idea Frank. Maybe when a topic reaches a certain number of replies it could turn into a bud, and when it reaches the next level turn into a flower

Oh this is a great idea Frank. I've often wished I could show my appreciation for posts with lots of information - now I can.

We've had the ability to give (and receive) seeds for almost two months, and it seems to be a roaring success! This is such a nice feature, and a way to easily give posters a pat on the back.
I, for one, think it is fantastic! Thank you, Frank (who deserves a few seeds himself)!
