I love your idea, I have had a similar setup that my son built for me. Same type of tub, and he built up river rocks around it so you can't see the tub. Then a pump in the bottom sends up water thru tubing to cascade over two large rocks (at one end of tub) back into the pool. Around it I have planted ferns ginger plants, corn plants, bromiliads, and similar plants. I have a hand pump painted red like your's, but it sits in the shed, hmmmmmm, that's a great idea.

I would love to share the pics, I'm having trouble up-loading, bad signal and all. I'll try another day.

Wow,Cheryl! That turned out very well indeed. It was an enormous amount of work, but boy, oh boy--what a result, eh?

It just looks perfect. Well done, you.

Thank you Sjoerd.
None of the rest of the "team" has seen it since it's been deemed "complete". Hubby is over helping his sister and won't be home until tomorrow. And neither of my brothers, or my cousin, have been over in a few days.
It really wasn't all that much work, probably could have been done in a weekend if one person knew how to do everything.
Basically, one brother was the inspiration when he salvaged the old pump from our uncle's workshop.
The other brother was needed to help do the plumbing. Hubby was needed for the woodwork. Cousin was needed for electrical. Me... I was in charge of gathering the materials and making it "cute"! Very Happy
