I took these pic's last summer when this cute little tree frog jumped on the sleeve of my Mom's shirt while we were out by the raspberries. He sat there while I ran and got my camera and snapped away. I think he wanted us to play leap frog by the grin of his face before he jumped off the sleeve and was gone.

Here is another pic of him or her sitting on my back deck. If I was going to put a caption with it I would think it was saying-Smile. I am smiling.

That same summer a brown tree frog showed up on our deck railing one cool morning taking a sun bath. It definitely has a face that only it's mother could love. We have a lot of them around our property and enjoy seeing them up close and personal.

There's something adorable about frogs, and you caught that in your photos! We have tree frogs that climb our patio doors, sit in watering buckets, and generally make themselves at home on and around our patio.
You are right--they smile  !

Ahh! One of my favorite critters. Froggies seem to enjoy the human. They always smile and pose for our cameras.

That green one's really cute.  I'm a frog lover too. We haven't got tree frogs, which is a shame since they're my favourite frog. They look so kind in a froggy sort of way.

I love seeing frogs in my garden (no tree frogs sadly though) and they are very welcome to eat all the bugs they can find.

Marlingardener & waretrop: yes they sure are adorable. Glad you have them by you. They sure make a funny noise thou. Sounds like a noise raccoons make. When my little dog hears them make that raspy sound she runs around looking for a raccoon barking her head off.
Droopy & eileen so sad you have no tree frogs. They are really good at eating bugs in ones garden. I to love frogs and toads. We have quite a few toads in our garden to eat as many bugs as they like. I love the children's story book series about a Frog and Toad that are Friends.

European tree frogs live as far north as Denmark and Sweden but I've never seen one in the wild there, only in zoos.

Cute tree frog and a nice that it stayed around for the photo op. Years ago I could count 6 to 8 varieties of frogs in my pond. The past few years only bullfrogs visit. I wonder if it is because of the decline of amphibian populations? And bull frogs just happen to be hardier. I have heard tree frogs but only at night.

Jerry Our tree frogs crock at various times during the day. Drives our little dog goofy as she thinks it's a raccoon making the noise. She runs around barking. Silly little dog.
I to have heard that frog populations have been on the decline. But I think it is due to some virus. I am so glad we still have a lot of frogs and toads around by us.
