Chance seems to think that she needs to guard the lettuce from the birds. Maybe she thinks it belongs to her because every now and then I see her nibble on it.

This little rabbit found some lettuce. Somehow I doubt that he will eat much of it.

Looks like the rabbit is out of luck when it comes to Chance's lettuce.

Chance isn't into sharing? That bunny better find another lettuce patch!
We had a dog that loved cucumbers, but we had to pick the cuke and offer it--he wouldn't take one off the vine himself. He left the lettuce alone.

Chance is doing just what Chance does best. Very Happy No birds will come near when she is on duty although it's good she has that little rabbit for company whilst she's on sentry duty.

Chance loves cucumbers, too. She would eat some every day if I peel them for her. I buy one or two every time we shop because she expects them and pouts if she doesn't get some.

Chance takes security very seriously. She just came in from checking the front yard. She watches for birds, stray kitty cats, dogs and trucks going by on "our" road.
