DR, while shopping at our local grocery I noticed the house brand of ketchup came in an upside-down bottle. I spoke sternly to the store manager, who looked appropriately crestfallen and promised to remove the offensive product from the shelves (and replace it with salsa).
I don't think any addition would help disguise the taste/feel/lumpiness of fruitcake. Some things are beyond repair.

Good for you on taking action on the upside down bottles. More people need to react in that manner and then things would be corrected. Salsa is also good on fruitcake although I prefer a little asiago cheese and some fresh pico de gallo. Thank you for your post.
