A big warm welcome to you rockhound from cold and snowy Wisconsin. My mom use to go rock hounding when she lived in Arizona. Thus your nickname?
I know you will enjoy this great site with so much info and nice people. I love that there are so many from other parts of the world. Looking forward to seeing pic's of your garden or whatever. Have a safe and blessed NEW YEAR!

Hi rockhound, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. A lot of reading to do here is right and it will soon become your daily addiction just like the rest of us.
Your first requirement is to master the art of posting photos, we are a nosey bunch and love to ooooh and aaaahh over garden and plant photos

Welcome Rockhound from Missouri. Tennessee is one of my favorite places to vacation; I love the entire state, especially the Smoky Mountain area. I'll never forget seeing so much Rhododendron on Roan Mountain; just beautiful!

Wow, 10 replies overnight, and from all over the world. Thanks guys, you know how to make a person feel welcome.
As far as the name goes, former rockhound would be more accurate, getting too old now to roam and dig and tote those buckets of rocks. Before I retired I did a lot of lapidary stuff tho, and made silver jewelry for craft fairs. I just got too old and don't want to get up at 5 and drive a hundert miles every saturday. I've always kept a garden of some kind going. I'll look for a couple pictures on photobucket.
ETA: Cilantro is still clinging to life.
And a pequin pepper plant that I have growing inside. Didn't expect it to bloom but there they are...
Some siberian kale in a container. I sowed thick and harvested the small plants in two batches to cook. I'm hoping it will come back again befor the real cold sets in here in zone 6b.
The kale's been thinned since this pic was taken. Most of my photobucket albums are public so anyone interested can look at the rocks, jewelry and other art stuff that goes on around here. Notice I'm "rockguy46" there.

Hey Rockhound, Welcome to Garden Stew from Nebraska. Your user name implies that you like rocks.
I do too, and if you see my gardens you will notice all my rocks in them...
