Wannabe called and said our youngest sister's son was hit by a car last evening. He's on life support and unresponsive. He has swelling in the brain and liver and pelvic damage. He's a sophomore at UC Davis in California. Prognosis is not good. Please send prayers and good thoughts that way.

Consider prayers being sent his way... and for your entire family at this trying time.

We're hoping and praying for you and your family. How tragic . . . .

So sorry Dooley. I'll be thinking positive thoughts for your Nephew. He's young, hopefully that helps with recovery.

His dad says he can breathe on his own but the respriator is to keep the airway open wider and provide more oxygen. They cut a hole in his skull and inserted something to monitor brain activity but there is no change in his condition. A good thing...a doctor asked him to wiggle his toes and he did. This must mean something other than he can wiggle his toes.

He was walking in a residential neighbor and a lady hit him and he flew backwards through her windshield. The lady is having a terrible time of it. She was doing the speed limit and no one seems to know how or why she hit him.

Dooley what that means his brain is active, he can hear, he can respond to commands and since he moved his toes there is probably no likely hood of paralysis.
The swelling of the brain is the most concerning problem.

He's gone back to surgery to relieve pressure on the other side. He has bleeding and has a few clots. His parents seem to be holding up or putting on a good front for the rest of us.
