I will soon be cutting my peonies back for the winter. It seems that I read once that these should not be put in the compost pile. Is this true?

Gosh I hope not!!! I've just cut mine back and put them into the compost bin.

Thanks Polly - I'll fish them out first thing tomorrow. I'll stick them in the council bin instead. Phew somehow I think you were meant to add that post today don't you?

All the peony cuttings are now out of our compost bin and in the Council supplied one. Thanks again Polly.
