We are doing an update to our kitchen which will include professional painting of our cabinets. The existing hardware needs to go.

The big box stores want a minimum $3.50/piece for knobs and hinges (ours are exposed hinges) which will total out to over $300 for suspect quality.

Does anyone have an internet source for quality cabinet hardware for reasonable prices?

TIA!

Sorry to disappoint you Barb but very few Scots actually play the bagpipes or wear kilts.

I know that you requested hardware under $3.50, and it seems that you have some great responses to that, but I thought I would post some interesting resources for other knobs too, in case other people are looking, and you maybe see something interesting here that gives you inspiration.

Actually I was looking for quality vs. the under #3.50 price, although I want value for the dollar.

Ebay looks like the way to go as long as I am familiar with the mfgs. of the hardware.

Do you really want them all to match? Might be fun to do a mix-and-match of a particular color or shape through ebay extra lots. You might also consider Craigslist or Freecycle, in that case.
