I just bought a new condo along w/everything in it. This condo has some very unique wall colors. You can see the living room and master bedroom in the rotating views here:

And here are a few more pics:

Can anyone tell what sort of colors work for this situation as far as all the linens (bedding, towels, etc) and other stuff that I need to supply? I'm clueless...

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve. Congratulations on your new condo.
I have to confess that I really do love
the crisp, spa-like quality of white bath and bed linens, in most any setting,
but perhaps especially when the wall colors are very strong, like yours.

A second alternative, for me, would be to choose
soft pastel versions of the same tones that are on the walls in the respective rooms
(assuming availability, of course Confused ),
soft colors that would harmonize rather than compete with those stronger shades.

Thanks for the quick reply, zuzu. White is easy, and sounds good to me. The current owner has dark brown linens everywhere, so I assume he (or his decorator) thinks dark brown matches both bright yellow and semi-pale green.

What do you think about his dark brown bedding?

Ummm Confused , although the dark brown appeals to the chocolate lover in me, Very Happy
I personally wouldn't have chosen it for the linens, Smile
I suppose my taste is more traditional in that respect.
Crisp white cotton is pretty hard to beat, in my book.

Smile Hello Steve and welcome to the garden.
Zuzu has the rite idea (soft pastel). For a man's Condo but still nice for the ladys would be stripes on towels with softer color then the walls. I found very nice ones with pale green, tan and lite blue. I was looking for something togo with green. Worked out great.

The dark chocolate brown works for me - reminds me of chocolate mint. Could use some mint-hued throw pillows on the bed and something with a brown frame on the wall to bring it together, though. Hm!

OK, I'm going to print this thread out and take it w/me to Bloomingdales next week. Opinions from friends and family didn't help me much at all, b/c I got way too many of them and they were all over the map. I figure anyone who reads and posts in a forum like this is automatically more qualified than them.

At some point I'll probably be asking for opinions on new color ideas for those colored walls. I'd never seen rooms like this that are essentially "two-toned", w/3 off-white walls and 1 that's distinctly colored. I like it, but would not have picked those green or bright yellows....
