Ok, Palm Tree...
I took a couple of fotos of the split-leaf monstera. I have the small leaf variety. Where I am living now doesn't really have a good place for this plant, but he's surviving.
here he is then:

i used to own one of those.......But it took forever to get a leaf.
Yours looks great.

Wow B, what a surprize. Well, I'll be looking foreward to the fotos. I haven't had this plant for years and years. I have never had one that bloomed. Well, you may have top put it in another place where you can see it more easily...and more often.
Do you have lots of different house plants? There aren't many that bloom this time of year--at least not here.

Thanks for the comment on the monstera. Well I wonder why it didn't do so well for you. I pretty much ignore this one and he won't stop growing and producing leaves.
The leaves do not have as many splits as they should have, but that's mostly because he isn't sitting in exactly the right place.

Ha ha ha... That sounds good. I like a variety, and flowering plants are ALWAYS nice.
I am forming a list for sweet pewas for next year. I will use them again in the arches and I may build a wig-wam ...I'm just not sure WHERE.

All, can we stick to the original topic as it would be helpful to folk searching for poinsettia information. Thanks!

Went to my husband's christmas party Saturday and each family was given the most enormous poinsetta. I left with two of them and they are on my steps. They are the biggest that I have seen in a pot to date.
My children shook their heads at me as I walked out of the beautifully decorated dining area. You could make a luscious red bed out of the leaves if they were not poisonous.
THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR THAT I WAS GIVEN A (TWO) POINSETTAS! Did I mention that I hate any and all makes of cars:)

I love the color they add to our home at Christmas. My family sings in a local choir each year for Christmas and they decorate the church with poinsettas that have been purchased by the choir members, who then get to take them home at the end of the performance. So I usually get a couple each year and keep them around during the holidays.

Well, most of them are gone now and all signs of x-mas (accept some x-mas lights still up) are gone. My poinsettas did as predicted witlted and died.
