This is something of a miracle for me. Last year was the first I every gardened - that too with the left overs from the previous owners of the house and tons of help from GradenStew. When I pruned the roses last fall, I just dug a piece of a 12" rose branch in a potting soil. I never thought it would survive. Now I can see little leaves coming out from it!! I am stunned. I haven't even looked/ taken care of it all winter. It was in my front patio all these months.
Now it looks like the plant has survived. Do I replant the rose? How do I take care of it?

I would let it get a good root system before I tried to transplant it. It will do better. Maybe you could water it with some half strength liquid fertilizer about every couple of weeks, or how ever often the label suggests. Good luck.

Lucky devil!!!!! I have been having such bad luck trying to get some rose limbs to root that have been easy as pie for me to root for other people. I am happy for you and I would leave it in the pot and keep an eye on it this season.
I have to give you an "you go girl" because your garden surprise is what gardening is all about. ENJOY your green thumb.
