Birdbath

Category: Herb Garden | Posted: Mon Nov 07, 2005 10:42 pm

I stated in a previous entry that I had bought a birdbath and it held water. Now, it doesn't hold water. I broke it. I was trying to take the base off to fill it with sand and I twisted the top and it twisted into two pieces. Now it doesn't hold anything. Ah well!

Awww dooley that's a shame :( I hope it wasn't too expensive.

I bought it at a yard sale so it was pretty cheap. I'll have to watch for another one. Until I find one my dog will just have to share again. I don't think she minds.

That happened with mine, it is a plastic one. I filled it with quick cement and then drilled the top on with a screw into the cement after it had dried completely. Then I pulled off the part of a plastic flower pot that the water drains into and placed it onto the birdbath top to hold the water. Luckily I found one that matched the size and color of the birdbath. You really can't tell that it doesn't belong there, and it was cheaper than buying a new one!
