Looks like it's setting right in the valley between the mountains...just beautiful! We have some beautiful sunsets here too over the lake in the summer.

What a beautiful sunset, Biita. Do you know what they say about the sun going down red? 'Sun at nite, sailors delight. Sun in morning, sailor take warning.' Sometimes this doesn't work but I've seen most of the time when the sun went down red, it was a very sunny nice day the next morning. Anyway I like your evening photos.

Gorgeous picture - even if the sun doesn't show red in it. We actually have quite beautiful sunsets here. It's supposed to be the dust & stuff in the air reflecting the refracting the light. I'll take some pictures when I catch one. Because our topography is pretty flat - a canyon here & there to break it up - we say, we have more sky. Wink

Thank you all, It was just amazing last night. That was the first one of the season, thats why I wanted to capture it.

Petunia I have heard that saying before. I can tell you as of 8:00 this morning it is just as sunny and already 60 F - 15 C. Its going to be a great day for gardening!!!

Eileen you never have to ask,,, pinch away! lol.

If I had been at the ocean shore when I took this, there would of been no mountains just sea and sky. But i was too tired to go there...lol.

Once the sun is up for 24 hours a day, we have blood red suns every night just about, or they golden suns, where the whole world just takes on a golden hue every where you look.

That's a lovely sunset. I heard on the forecast that you'd get a nice, warm day today, and told my husband that would make you happy! Very Happy I see you've still got some snow there.

Whether it shows red or not, it is a beautiful picture. I just can't imagine 24 hours of daylight or dark. The world is amazing...

Really great pics Biita. Thanks so much for sharing. I have some nice sunsets here, but not like that with the mountains behind them.

Ohh wow!! That is very beautiful, WTx. I see what you mean about the red. It always looks like the sun is exploding in a photo,, at least in mine it does, when i take pics of the red sun.

I missed seeing these the other day. They are gorgeous. We have a blood red sun when there is a sandstorm in west Texas.
So in winter you have blue everywhere as the sun is coming back and now there will be red/gold everywhere. What a colorful place you live in.
