This 'vacation' was for cleaning and preparation of the veggie plots and the flower plot.
I have a few shots here to show the fruit of our labours. WHEW!
The new strawb bed (it's first year)

An overview of most of the two sections of the "old veggie gardens". On the forground is the portion where carrots, parsnips and calabrese will be planted, among other things.

Some of the purple sprouting broccoli that we're still harvesting. We shall try and harvest all of the shoots and freeze them in this weekend--they are promising good weather.

The 'white' version of the purple sprouting>

Thanks for your nice words. Pat-pat-pat...thanks Droopy ( I'll try not to break my arm) Wink . chuckle.
Well, this was only a small portion of the cleaning that we did, but it was a very important portion, for it must support some of the important veggies that will be frozen-in for winter eating.
Thanks again.
