I am embarrassed to say this but I don't know which of my seeds germinated :)
I put in zinnia, marigolds and sunflower seeds. I recognise marigold and sunflowers, so could this be zinnia?

I thought zinnias had broader leaves but they could be a type I'm not familir with. Maybe Droopy will be able to help you ID your little plant Tina.

If those green bits were a little thinner, I'd say it looks like a pine tree sapling...but then the dark stem would be a bit toughish.
Show another pic when it has developed a bit further.

I'm with Sjoerd on this one. Looks like a small pine tree to me. Then again I've never sown zinnia so I don't know what they'd look like.
Edit, found a link to a Ponderosa pine seedling.

Tina, I was going to tell you my suspicion, then I noticed where you live- now I'm, like, 99 percent sure, it's a doug fir seedling (Pseudosuga menzesii). I used to go batty pulling them out of my garden before I knew what they were: just leave them and next fall dig them up & pop them into little pots. Places that hold plant sales for fundraisers always appreciate being donated little tree seedlings (my big fat 2 cents)

Thanks Mary. Thats a nice thought. The problem is these seedlings are in my flower beds. So, I have to remove them to put in annual flowers.

Definitely not a zinnia, quite possibly a pine tree in the making.
