May daughter planted some beans in a cup at school, & drew & cut out a Jack, who is stuck on a stick in the pot. She and I re-potted the bean stalk when she brought it home.
The recent 4 inches of rain has caused mushrooms to pop up.
When I was young, I remember my grandfather (born in 1894) would find mushrooms & put little figures on, or near them to photograph. I am contunuing that tradition and my daughter likes it too!
Then I got after some developments in the yard>
Foxglove is fixin' to bloom:
The palest pink peonies
More Princess Shasta daisies
And a perfect red climbing rose

The rose made me drool! Your flowers are beautiful. I really enjoyed the fairy-on-mushroom-photo, your grandfather had a good imagintation. I like the little "bloom" playing on the grass too.

Your peony is such a delicate shade of pink and that rose is to die for.

All great shots. The flowers are so beautiful and the 'bloom' also. I see some Mariposa fairey's on the grass there beside her. (I have a 4 year old, we have the same ones...). The fairy on the mushroom is so cute! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, those are indeed Barbie as Mariposa butterfly fairies. We have every single stinkin' Barbie movie ever made! Some are good, some are so-so. I generally like the music to which my 5 year-old daughter gets exposed. She loves to jump up & dance to the music, watching & imitating the Barbies on the screen.

The dancing movies are the best ones. I like "The Nutcracker" and "Swan Lake" best, the rest aren't that good. Yes, we've got them all too.

We have all the Barbie movies also. My favorite is 'The 12 Dancing Princeses' and most of the others I don't mind, but there are a few I usually find something else to do when they come on. But yes, the music is really good. My DD also likes to jump up and dance.

Sometimes, when my daughter jumps up & dances, I rewind the movie (is it called rewinding on a DVD?) and get my own video camera & then film my daughter dancing to the music. It is so funny to watch her do, or try to do, what the Barbies are doing - half a second later. I think the video ends up kind of jumpy, because I start giggling at what I'm seeing.

Don't giggle in front of her, please! Go outside and have a good laugh instead. I don't know how many times I've had to leave the room in a hurry because the girls are unwillingly funny.

Oh, believe me, I try to stifle the laughter as best I can, but I am not fully in control of my body, or emotions.

WTxDaddy, I do that same thing with the video camera. I think it's still rewiding. LOL! Aren't they so fun to watch. I have a whole different perpective of my 4 year old because my DD#1 will be 22 years old next month. There are 17 years between them, so I really know how fast the time goes. I enjoy them both so much, but for such differnt reasons. Keep taking the videos, they grow up so fast.
