This is what I love about GardenStew - we get to see photographs of species that we don't see in our own countries!! I never even knew there was a bird called a scissor tail. Thank you for posting your wonderful piccies for us.

Wow! These are really neat pictures. I have never seen one of these birds before. Here in Illinois I have seen a fair share of cardinals, and couple of bluejay....neither of which stay around long enough for you to take a picture.

Oh, I love to watch the Scissortail Flycatchers swooping around catching their meals. We don't see them in the city but they love the country out where my Mom lives.

I love male Scissor, because he has a long tail looks quite different from other two.
