Its the Artic! lol.

On Tuesday we all went out for a while to the other side of the island, had dinner at a friends resturant, did a little souvenir shopping with Josh (he bought an electric guitar! some souvenir!) It was nice and sunny. Come home and what a shock! It snowed on our side of the island,, 7.5 cm or 3 inches,,,,lol.

See no snow on the car!

But!!! It has all melted, and today was just as sunny as yesterday minus the snow,,lol. The good news is my plants all survived it, a little bent over here and there, but they are still alive!!! Yah!

sigh,,,Gotta love it! Never a dull moment here,,lol.

Josh said,, See mom, now you know what snow looks like with the lights on!! (smart,,,um,,,butt) lol.

Laughing Love Josh's comment, good one. I'm glad it's gone, Biita. I'm not much of a snow fan after March I'm afraid.

Well at least you were all on the other side of the island when the snow fell Biita!!! Thank goodness it has all melted away again and that you plants didn't get too damaged.

An electric guitar as a souvenir? Now that beats the mandolin my son bought once!!! Razz

Thanks all,,, Now that the snow is gone I sure don't want to see anything white,, other than a flower for at least 6 months,,lol.

Mandolin,,lol. OMG, Uncle has one and Josh got his eye on it, thats next on his list of must haves. He's been playing guitar since he was 13. He left his guitar that he has now in Iraq, he was afraid it would get smashed on the loading pallet that the army uses. So this one will stay here until he comes back again.

You can have it, Biita. We've had a very cool spring, too; in fact you can see your breath outside again this morning. I was brave, though, and planted my impatiens last weekend...hope I won't be sorry!

Oh I just love these pictures...reminds me a little bit of home.
The hot weather we get in Illinois is little bit much for me, but I have survived so far! Wink

I hope this is the last of the snow too!! but its not uncommon for it to snow in July...lol. Much like the pics tho, last only a half day if that. then bright and sunny like it never happened.

Josh has to be in Bodø on the 21st of this month, his plane back to Iraq is 12:15 noon time, via London!!! You get to wave this time Eileen,,lol. I'm not looking forward to it tho.

Xylona, hello and welcome to the Stew!! (how did i miss the thread) I've got tons of snow pics,,lol. Where is home other than illinois.

As the saying goes: "If the ice crust on the snow can hold a man by mid-summer you just know spring will be late." Laughing

Glad I got to see your snow with the lights one too. Very Happy

I miss the snow pictures from everyone, but I understand how you really don't want anymore so hopefully this is your last.

Snow the way I like it - in pictures! I can't stand the stuff. Messy, wet & cold. I like it warm & dry, so I live in West Texas! Very Happy It can be fun, though. My daughter loves the stuff and I oblige her & play in it with her. We don't get it often and when we do get it, it isn't usually much. It's often gone in 24 hours. Sad
