I needed a break from ironing, and photographed some of the stuff blooming this morning. Since I've still got lots of ironing to do, and very little inspiration to do it I thought I'd just pester you with more photos.
Small, greenish-yellow rhododendron, I think it's Princess Anne:
Apple tree's blooming:
The Ranunculus aconitifolius, we call them "Silver buttons":
That double Ranunculus I never remember the full name of:
We've got hearts!
The little Gentiana:
And the purple Dodecathon:
This Trillium is supposed to be cream with a purple edge, but it's behaving strangely this year:
A cream-coloured Meconopsis, I have to ask mother but I think it's regia:
Blooming for the first time, Primula auricula "Sword":
That one made my day! We've had it for three years, and I've waited and waited for it. I love the yellow center, the coffee brown middle and the green tips.

Congratulations and a BIGGGG well Done to you! You are showing some very nice stuff there. Your prized one is a lovely thing. such a colour combination.
I had some of theose renuncles for a time...but they have finally just died-off, I reckon.
The Shooting Staers and Gentian are REALLY looking good, aren't they?
And as for the Bleeding Hearts....well they are just simply gorgeous.
Well done Nordic Lady... you have really dazzled us with these this time.
Thanks so much.

Pester away!!! We would much rather see photos than have you do your ironing!! All your flowers are gorgeous. I love the Bleeding Heart and the Trillium. I bought one this year (at least that is what the package said) and it hasn't done anything. I have learned one thing. Do NOT buy anything you can't see!! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you all for your nice comments. There are lots of plants out there, but they haven't started yet. I'm impatient, I keep watching and waiting for them to bloom. I need to learn to be happy with what's there now.
kuntrygal, I've got trilliums out there that have grown but not bloomed since I bought them 2-3 years ago, and I've lost the tags so I don't know what they are. I hope they're pretty ones!

Thanks all. We'll probably have a cold spell now for a week or two, and then hopefully some warmth after that. Well, it's what's normal this time of year.

Ohhh man what i would do for a different change of bloomsters. I just love that last one. And the hearts,, just in time for May 17th. Lucky you!! They are all so beautiful!
I just love apple blossoms.
We are warming up very slowly, but everyday it gets just a tad bit warmer, so maybe my flowers will decide to bloom soon,,lol.

I'm very pleased with the early spring we're having this year, Biita. I couldn't have taken more of that strange-weather-winter we had, all cold but snowless, grey and dull. I think spring is my favourite season, when everything's waking up.

They are all so gorgeous I'm not sure I can single out any one favorite. Nope, I can't...I love them all.
Keep em coming...your ironing can wait. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. The iron couldn't wait, since it's now May 17th here and all the best clothes have got to be ready for today's parade!
