I took these photos before spring but forgot to share them with you all.
This is the red shoulder hawk that lives by our pond. Every year the hawk and his/her mate have babies. We love to see them take there babies out to teach them to hunt.

Daph your photographs are superb. Mr. Green I would love to see any photographs you might be able to get of the young hawks as I am interested in all birds of prey.

I'll definitely get some baby photos when they start to fly. My husband thinks the babies look like little fuzz balls flying.
