The Mimosa is one of my favorite trees and it is now in full bloom . I have this older one at the end of the lane and its so pretty now.I also have a young one in my yard that blooms pink. I also have one that Gizmo sent me the seeds that has yellow blooms but is really young.I don't know how long it will be before it blooms.I have never seen one with Yellow blooms.

Awww, the blooms look so soft. I'd like to cuddle them but I guess they'd just fall off then. We've grown mimosa for the children. They like to touch the leaves and see how they fold up. They don't last long inside though.

I like them to but they are so invasive here I try not to let them in the yard. There are some growing in the woods here. I have never seen a yellow one either, bet its pretty. I have seen white ones though.

I love the mimosa. I had one in alabama, and they are so soft. but i sure didn't like the smell when they were dying off. but i guess thats one of the things you have to trade for if you like something enough.

I really like Mimosa trees, until spring when all the new seedlings start appearing everywhere Rolling Eyes There is a house not too far from here where the owner has let all the Mimosa saplings grow, the yard is almost filled. I will have to go get a picture of it.

Swallowtail butterflies love them too, we have one at the side of the house that they sometimes gather on.

Thank you all .Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers. The old home place across from the lane has big Mimosa's like toni is talking blooming and is just so pretty now.I just pull up the seedlings and have no problem keeping them from growing where I don't want them.

What a beautiful tree, I've never seen one before. It does look rather fluffy. Thanks for sharing.

A gorgeous bloom. I'll bet the hummers like those flowers!
Do you have any close-ups of this most lovely flower?

That is really pretty Glenda. I didn't know Mimosa trees had blooms. I see them here in the garden centers and they are tiny. I'd love to see a close up of the blooms too Smile

Mimosas do have a tendency to turn into gigantic weeds. I like them too, but they will take over,if given the chance.
