Thursday morning I spotted this fella by the pond. I thought he found a snake to feast on. When I looked at the photos on the computer I realized that he found a bullfrog. I'm so glad it wasn't my Mr. Biggles!

If I would have known he was dining on a frog I don't think I could have watched. I would have dropped the camera and ran after it!

Great photos, DaphDaph! I know how you feel about those frogs, but that's life I guess.

What magnificent pictures! Herons are really a neat looking bird.
I really wish we had more wildlife around here....okay at least wildlife that was more willing to be seen. Smile

DaphDaph, those are great pics. Guess Herons eat what ever they can find, or are the selective? You must have a good zoom on your camera, or were you actually that close?

Great pics DD. I have to agree about the frog, I love frogs, but it's the circle of life. At least that's what I always tell myself. Thanks for sharing.

I keep telling myself it's the circle of life too...it works for about a minute.
The birds do not mind me getting a few yards away but I stay further away so I do not disturb them. I use zoom...nothing fancy.
