I got to thinking about one of my Hosta's.
It comes up like this each year and then as the season progresses, the whole plant just turns deep green. I wondered if it needed more sun or if it is from me not dividing it regularily?
I like my Hosta's BIG so I don't divide until I have to.

Netty, which Hosta is it, do you know? It looks like the "Guacamole", which requires light shade to full sun. I don't think you'll need to divide it, though. The ones that revert show different coloured leaves from the start. Hosta "June" is an example of a Hosta that easily reverts, I had to divide her last year.
Here's a photo of H. "Revolution" reverting:
I think it's difficult to know where to put those Hosta. Some should be planted in full shade to keep variegation, and others need lots of sun to show their colours best. We've got one that comes out green-and-white and then fades to light green and dark green, and we need to move it to a more shady area. Others come out green and get more variegation as they grow. The mini-Hosta "Vanilla Cream" needs full sun for that lovely, golden colour to show, for instance.

Well, here is that Hosta now
It is completely green!
All the pieces that came from the original plant look the same and they all get different amounts of sun.

Netty, you've got a lovely hosta there. I agree with Q.A., it's not Guacamole. Your hosta is probably one of those that come out light and darken as the season progresses. I like the ones that change during the season. It's added interest in my book.
