This is a cymbidium that I received for my birthday this year. The blooms are now gone. Do I cut back the stem now or does it bloom on the same stem? I am not at all familiar with what to do here. Any help would be great!

The plant is looking really good and has three new shoots that are about 5" long right now. So far, I think I've found the perfect spot in the house for it.

Oooh, you lucky person! It's lovely. Very Happy I've never managed to grow those, only Phalaenopsis and such. I think the Cymbidium only bloom once from every bulb, though, and will start to make new bulbs after the flowering is done.
