Deputy was my friend, he trusted me to make all the right decisions for him. He accepted all my decisions, and never complained. When I said lets go for a car ride, he couldn’t wait to get into the car. When I said it’s time for dinner, he’d head for the food dish. When I said no come back here, he would stop, look at me and come to my side. When I said it’s time to go outside, he went outside. Sometimes when I went out with him, he would follow me wherever I went, and find a spot where we were walking to do his business. When I said lets go for a walk, he couldn’t wait to get out and walk. When I sat at the computer, he found a spot where he could see me, and lay there. When I put on a hat and coat he stood at the door to come along, and if I said he had to stay, he looked after me, disappointed. When I went out to grill something for dinner, he came out on the deck and found a spot nearby, to get comfortable and watch. When I went to eat, he came to the table, and wanted to taste what we were eating. When I let my arm hang over the side of the bed, he gave my hand some licks. When I awoke in the morning, he was standing there looking at me. When I called his name he always perked up and looked at me. When I talked to him he looked me in the eye, and listened intently, as though he understood every word. When I went out to work in the yard, he came along and found a spot near by and lay there watching me. When I got up from a chair, he got up and followed me. When I went into the bathroom to shave in the morning he’d come along and lay at me feet. When I said we need to go for a car ride to the vet, he said he couldn’t get to the car without help, so I carried him. When I said it’s time, ---- he looked at me licked my hand, and died. I cried.
Deputy Dog: Born July 4th 1993 Died May 31st 3:00 PM 2008.

We miss you, Deputy, and will never forget you.
