Hi everyone glad to find this place. I have been lurking for a bit and decided to join in to share the little knowledge that I have and to gain some insight from the veterans. I live on 5.2 acres in a very rural town in North Florida and this is my first year in Florida so my first year getting used to the sandy soil. I hvae been gardening for about 6 years but mainly when I used to live in CT

I currently have approximately 2,000 plants all veggies growing in my garden. It is roughly 4,000 sq feet. I have cukes tomatoes okra beans peas corn brocolli peanuts carots pumpkins and cantaloupes and watermelons. Next year I plan on expanding and planting quite a few blueberry bushes and strawberry bushes and any other fruits I can get my hands on.

Glad to be aboard.

thanks folks! As soon as my camera gets back from vacation with my wife and kids I will take pix. I have 5 dogs and just recently upgraded to ten cats. One of my girls had a litter so now we have kittens all around the house. As far as hobbies I am an avid outdoorsman I love to hike fish and hunt and do them as oftern as possible. I just recently got a dog for hunting wild hogs. She is about 6 months old now and will begin training in another month or so so that should be fun! Thank you for the warm welcome.

Hi Pete, welcome from SW Ga. Sounds like we are growing in the same conditions. If you like citrus your in the right place to plant what you like. Sounds like a great plan you have. Before long you will have so much to care for an not enough hours in the day to get it all done.
