Hello!
My neighbor has this growing in one of her flowerbeds. And we are not able to identify it. It's small, almost groundcover-ish and has a slight scent to it. The flowers are small white with four petals (almost Dogwood-like) and the stamen is tall and almost honey-combish.
I apologize for the poor quality pictures.
Thanks for in advance for your help.

Used to be called Cornus canadensis, so you were not far away with you Dogwood like flowers. Name now is Chamaepericlymenum but it may well have changed back.

Last poster is incorrect. This is chameleon plant, houttuynia cordata. Good ground cover, can be invasive (not good for garden beds).
