We have a swale at the back of our homes, they eventually flow to the many lakes in our neighborhood,often have visiting birds looking for a snack in the swales, just took these pics. of this charming couple..

I have been searching on the web, do not know what kind they are can't find any that look like these two, their beaks and feet were neon orange,more brillant then on the pics. amazing!

Looks like they are the Fulvous Whistling Duck. I googles florida ducks and the above page came up. the male and female look the same. Which is very odd for birds. Usually the male is beautiful and colorful and the female dull.

Actually I think they look identical to the Black Bellied Whistling ducks on that link.

Thanks, took pics. through the glass on my door, and we see all kinds of birds here including the blue heron, egrets etc. first time I saw this pair however.

They are pretty. We tend toward Egrets here, but have many duck and geese as well. I love the babies. Very Happy
