I have a two tier fountian in my garden. The problem is that thewater never stays in it, it always runs dry and I can not see it leaking out anywhere. Should this only be in a really shady spot or will that help

How big is the water reservoir? It may be evaporating if you're in a dry area. How often does it run dry? You may also have some critters that see the fountain as a water supply. Increase the supply if possible and see if that helps.

The water will evaporate very fast if your temperatures are getting up there. If you see no leaks I would have to assume evaporation. I know when I had one before, a small amount that would spray to the outside edge of the bottom level was elimination several gallons a day. I had to adjust the flow.
Let us know if you can figure it out!
