It has been so slow going here in the flower garden this year, but now inspite of the elements and lack of sun they are popping-open one at the time. Here is what I can show you now:
One of my three daylily sorts. I can't compete with some of you guys here, but I really like the colours of this one.
Echinacea. I really like the tint of pinky-lavender.
The trollius' that I planted in a small group this year are sending up flowers now. They stay blooming for quite a long time, relatively speaking.
The Coriopsis lining one path have still to take-off, but are showing promise, as they are loaded with buds.
Penstamons and a Malva are looking nice at the moment.
The Phloxes are opening now in clumps.
A lovely deep red blow-in poppy.
The Eremurus stenophyllus is blooming out. It's a pity that they don't all bloom at once--those dead flowers at the bottom are unsightly.
Can anyone tell me what this is before it opens? I just can't recall what it is.

Sjoerd, I am awestruck. Your garden is fabulous. What is the little pink flower to the right in the coneflower/daylily picture. BTW, that is an wonderful daylily, I love it. The malva is great also, I will have to try them again, my one and only attempt failed. They are kin to hibiscus so I don't understand why they didn't come back.

You've got lovely blooms, lucky man. Our colourful daylilies haven't even started to bud. Wish I could have a bright red blow-in poppy, but no such luck. I like your Trollius chinensis. Ours took a beating from the wind and some of the stalks broke. Your Eremurus is a delight. I disagree with your opinion of them. They last longer when blooming that way. 
Isn't the last one the seed head of a Scabiosa?

Those are all so beautiful Sjoerd! I think they all look lovely, and so happy to be finally blooming. I have the trollus planted in 2 different places and the one that is in direct sun is burnt to a crisp. The one under the pine tree branches, is blooming like crazy,,, now i know what to do, but when and how. I didn't plant them, so i don't even know if its from seed or a bulb,,lol.

Oh I love your Trollius and your Choriopsis and could definately find space (somewhere) for them in my garden!!!  Everything is looking so good now and you have so much colour. Do keep showing us piccies as more begins to bloom for you.

Your flowers are so beautiful, especially the poppy! I think they are difficult to grow here, if not impossible. I don't do difficult so I will just enjoy yours! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, what a great group of flowers. I have the yellow daylillies but I really like your red one. Your Penstamons are really pretty (what can I say, I'm partial to purple. he he) Keep em' comin.

Nothing in your garden is unsightly. It's all beautiful! Like a fairy garden. You'd expect one to pop up under one of those lilies. Mine are about finished blooming, but I've just ordered 6 new ones! Thanks for inviting us to your place.

CAJUNBELLE: That plant is the Primula vialii.
Some of the Malvas can be difficult sometimes, and I don't know why. This particular one that I have picturedis so strong...it's almost weed-like.
DROOPY: Yes, of course it is. What was I thinking.
BIITA: Well my Trollius is planted in a sort-of partial shgade situation in that the surrounding plants are all actually a bit taller than they are.
Thank you all for your very nice comments. I really appreciate them. If the weather ever warms-up, I hope that more flowers will begin to open-up.

Fabulous blooms Sjoerd!
I don't think I've ever seen Trollius before, but it is lovely. I used to have a Penstemon in that color but it was very short lived. Poppies, Phlox and Scabiosa are a few of my favorites too

Sjoerd, what a lovely garden you grow. I have some red lilies that are similar to yours. They are not close to flowering though. All of your flowers are lovely and I'm not getting much blooming right now so thanks for sharing yours. You brightened my day!

Thanks for your really kind words. I guess that the kinds that you mentioned, Netty are sort of "Cottage Garden" typicals and ones that I like very much...but I like to throw in some unusual ones as well, and I'm always on the lookout for something unusual and lovely.
I am going to need more of those Trolliuses to make a decent stand. The blooms themselves are not enormous, so a few more would be welcome.
I'm sorry to hear that you aren't having alot of blooming, 'T'. Actually I do not either--at least not like normal. And the flowering plants are a bit spread out--it's a very strange year here, this year.
I hope that yours get going soon, because I want to see them.
