For our family photo this summer, we are all wearing polo style shirts in bright primary and secondary colors; hubby-blue, me-red, oldest son-green, younger son-orange, and I'd like my infant daughter to wear yellow. The problem is that the only polo shirts I can find in infant girl sizes are white and pink. I'm thinking about buying a cute white one that I found and using Rit dye to make it bright yellow. If anyone has ever dyed fabric, do you have any hints? How did it turn out? TIA!

Did you try Land's End. They have polo shirt for babies but I'm not sure if they do yellow. Might be worth a look. I'm not sure about the dye, I've never done that but we used to tye dye stuff all the time so why wouldn't it work. Good luck, we'd like a copy of the pic please!

Yeah, Land's End was my first stop. I found all of the other shirts for my family there. They don't have ANY polos for baby girls there. Thanks for the idea though.

Rit dye works well. I have used it before. Taking white to a color is pretty easy. I would suggest trying it on a white pillow case first to practice.
