I made these for a raffle I'm hostessing on another forum.

They are made from glass and metal beads. The pearl one though is made from vintage, 1960's faux pearl beads and glass seed beads.

I made them on 8 lb fishing line and tied the beginning and end beads on as if they were fishing lures. I just need to add a drop of crazy glue on the knots to be sure they never come undone.

Glendann Etsy is a great site for buying things handmade. After the raffle I may post what I have leftover there. There are a lot of other peoples beaded markers there now.

What a great idea Wrennie - so much better than the bookmarks I make!! I love that blue one although they're all beautiful. I don't think you'll need luck with the raffle as the tickets will go like hot cakes when folks see your work. Very Happy

Wow, I thought they were pretty Before I clicked the thumbnail, they are really gorgeous!!!!
I had an etsy account, and an artbyus one, but I'm such a computer noodlehead I could never do anything with them. I bet those will do really well!

Wrennie, how long do you make these bookmarks? They are beautiful and what a wonderful party favor or hostess gifts, secret Santa gifts, etc. I have tonz of bead, seed beads and bugle beads. Sounds like I have a little project to work on! Thanks for sharing.

Theyre about 13". Just hold it next to a book as you make them to be sure its long enough.
Stratsmom I just made one with a cross on the end and gold beads.

Your bookmarks are lovely. I'll have to add that project to my list of things to make.

Those are ALL so lovely Wrennie. I couldn't choose just one, I'd have to take them all...including the one with the cross on it. Thanks for sharing.
