Ok ya'll, are ya tired of marking your plants with these little tags than ya go check them and find out the name has faded and ya can't make it out?
Well, this is what i do when planting the veggie garden.

Yes its made from a soda can! And just think it keeps it from filling our landfills. I will post on how to make them in my blog when i get new batteries for my camera with step by step pics. I hope i posted this in the right forum if not feel free to move it.

What a great idea! I use slats from my old mini blinds and the marker always fades.
I guess I would have to be very careful (I'm a little accident prone) so I don't get blood on my plants! LOL

Our plant markers disappear, no matter what we make them from. Rolling Eyes I blame the magpies. Yours look good, PD. We get money if we return soda cans to the shop, but I'd like to try making those anyway.

These are a fantastic idea PD. As Droopy said we also get money back for cans here in Sweden but a few cans could be repurposed for this need. Looking forward to the photo tutorial Smile

Pepperdude, Do you have bottle deposits on soda cans & bottles in Mississippi? Just curious. The plant tags are a great idea, {{and worth not getting a nickle back for Laughing }}.

My plant markers disappear also. The other day, I saw...yes another d@mn squirrel, tearing up the moss liner of an iron planter box and he was eating the plant marker.Guess I am doomed!!!!!

The iron in blood is very good for some plants, Netty, lol! (bleah)
That's a great idea, think I'd bend the corners back. I bet bits of aluminum trays & such would work, too, and no recycle deposit to worry about...
Those ties give them a nice bit of class.
