Hello Gang!

Glad to find your group! You seem so enthusiastic and encouraging to newbies. We started a project under 3 years ago to change our blah blah west facing front yard into our own little tropical retreat. After some setbacks, it's finally coming together. Trying to figure out how to post some pics. Our Brugmansia, which I was Googling when I found your forum, planted a year ago, has gone wild with blooms and I was tickled with some of the recent photos.

Looking forward to enjoying your group!

OK Gang, you asked for it!
Here's my first attempt at inserting photos...
This was our plain vanilla front yard around two and a half years ago. It is West-facing on a plateau and the house suffered from heavy afternoon sun, with a big picture window in front. I had just planted the Bambusa Textilis as a future sun screen.
Here's what it looked like then, with "Uncle Bill" showing off for the camera:

Here's what it looks like now, with my Brugmansia showing off for the camera:

Happy Planting,

Wanda & Chuck
