this is a weeping shrub about 5' high by about 8' wide with oak type leaves. it looks deciduous and is probably cold hardy to at least zone 6 since it seems to be thriving in the nc mountains. it is in a pretty shady spot and the owners of the home say they have never seen it bloom though that may be due to the shade. this has me stumped so any help would be appreciated. thanks

Looks like "Weeping Mulberry" A short on at that.
Weeping Mulberries are male trees, (no fruits to make a mess)
Can be groomed to keep an umbrella look ar let it go.
Birds often find the graft area to their liking for a nest sight.

thanks ron, i think you are right. the leaf shape looks diferent from any thing i've seen online but the growth habit is the same. must just be a variety grown for that leaf shape i guess? thanks for your help!
