|
I'm new so this may have already been said but I haven't found it!!! I have some soil troubles and my neighbor recomended just digging a whole and keeping everything in pots!! She said it is also a great thing for renters because they can take there plants with them...just pull up the pot and fill in!!! So I thought I would share!!!

Thanks Kimberly - great tip. I do that with invasive plants like mint as it stops it from choking my other plants.

I plant a lot of things in pots. This soil isn't too great and I have a big walnut tree down by the garden. You can't grow too much under a walnut tree. It also saves a lot by watering pots and not the whole yard and garden. I am making a herb garden though. Dooley

I've been cheating like this for years . I raise a lot of my plants out around the back garden , and plant them in the soil in the pots when they come into flower , then replace them with fresh ones when they cease flowering . Bugs

I agree, these are wonderful ideas.
Colleges often do this so that their grounds always have flowers blooming during growing season.
